Dr Sarah Aiono approached us to help raise the profile of Longworth Education and herself as a expert commentator on education sector issues. Dr Aiono had secured minimal media results prior to the beginning of 2023. During the year that followed we were able to secure ten separate pieces of national media coverage (three interviews on RNZ National’s The Panel, and seven opinion pieces published in Stuff, The Post, NZ Herald and on The Spin Off).
Compelling case studies
We worked closely with Dr Aiono to develop compelling case studies, refine her key messaging, and focus her lobbying efforts to reach the ears of teachers, principals, parents, Government and the Ministry of Education.
We also worked with Dr Aiono to position her messaging pre and post-election, developing her strategic focus for 2024 “bridging the gap between education policy and the classroom”.
In addition to achieving significant media coverage, our work with Dr Aiono helps to position her as a speaker, which has resulted in invitations to present around the world, including Canada, Australia and the UK.
We have also worked with Dr Aiono to refresh website content, particularly in relation to sharing transformative case studies that illustrate the value that her work delivers as a professional development tool for teachers.
