Building relationships to get things done

bike

Working with the board of a charitable trust developing a major regional tourism asset, WPR was able to assist with building relationships with the wider business community.

The Trust had been wary of approaching non-tourism related businesses for access to land and support for its activities because there had been an assumption they would encounter resistance.

WPR helped facilitate an introduction and a structured collaboration between the Trust and the business. Once each side understood what the other was trying to achieve there was a strong and clear foundation laid down for working together.

The result was a significant increase of ‘in kind’ sponsorship to the trust which allowed it to speed up the development of its tourism asset and led to a long-term partnership which both parties proudly promoted through their communication channels.
