Ken has been a communications professional for more than 30 years, training as a journalist in Dunedin and before progressing to become Farming Editor for the Otago Daily Times.

His career has included senior roles in large corporate communications agencies, medium-sized consultancies, and direct marketing advertising agencies, as well as working as a sole practitioner.

He brings a strong commercial and results focus to his communications practices and has wide experience in government and local body sectors.

Ken has worked extensively in the primary and information technology sectors as well as on significant environmental projects. He has worked on community, health, and education projects, including initiatives alongside iwi.

An experienced writer, Ken has published a memoir about a Bluff publican in addition to a diverse output ranging from newspaper editorials, technical pieces and business documents, to bank prospectuses.

In the agricultural sector, his most recent work has focused on the environmental aspects of farming.

Ken has a long and continuing history of involvement in the community, including major engagement and consultation projects, and he is active in mentoring and supporting new businesses.
